Course Overview

The primary focus of this course is to integrate computer technology and creative thinking, exploiting the potential of this integration to produce an end product.

During class, students will be required to use the computer for:

  • Research
  • Experimentation
  • Visualization
  • Editing
  • Production

Classroom Policies

  • No food, or drink in the classroom including gum and candy.
  • Raise your hand and be recognized before speaking.
  • Show respect for your classmates.
  • Do not rock back or to the side in your chair.
  • Practice self-space at all times.
  • Be prompt to class and bring all required materials each day.

Computer Usage Guidelines

  • While using a computer you are responsible for its care.
  • The internet should be used only for school-related activities, class work and research.
  • Do not install or remove any software. Do not download any files from the internet without permission.
  • Do not modify the desktop.
  • Do not access chat rooms, bulletin boards or instant messenger.

Daily Procedure

  • Enter the computer class calmly and quietly.
  • Find a workstation and take a seat.
  • Follow the instructions for the Daily Technology Excercise (DTE) posted at the front of the classroom.
  • Raise your hand if you have any questions.
